The Jeeps are gone and a 1996 Chevy 1 ton appeared ! I did not the jeeps hanging around any more. I've lost the interest in fixing them, and so I put the pair up for sale. This was one of the offers. A straight trade for this truck. It runs good... it drives good, but it needs a little TLC. Both of us did this deal sight unseen.

    Rob, THANK YOU for posting these videos they are really helpful. I just purchased an old $2K Surfside TM14, Taking the camper off the frame today. I found that the frame had cracked at the first crossmember, both rails 100% separated, the owner just bolted 4" light steel angles to put it back together. I will be welding the rails back together and placing gussets two feet long on both rail sides and edges about 24" long and add 1/4" flat bar to top and bottom to beef this point up. I need to order seals for windows and cranks, plus the rubber rub strip around the mid point that joins the two shells needs to be replaced. Can you tell me where you purchase your seals in Canada, I am in Ontario. I am at a loss of the seals to order need to replace all the rubber.

Now I'm 56 and feel the same. The only issue I had with this bike is the the height. Not the bike's fault cause I'm 5' 3". (P.S. I cut off 3 inches from the bottom of the seat pole and it helped). Now, they do have the MINI line of these, which I'm trying to convince my wife to get but they only have 1 motor. And honestly after having the 2, I would never go back. Just like having heated steering wheel in a car!!

    Hey Rob, question for ya. When it comes time to have the ebike serviced (ie. tire change, hydraulic brake bleeding, wheel truing, derailer adjustment/replacement, possible motor replacing etc), are there any bike shops in your area that are willing and able to do the servicing? I live in Colchester county Nova Scotia. I bought the EMX Xtreme (dual 750 watt motor version). There are a total of 2 bike shops in my area and unfortunately, neither of them are willing let alone able to service it. They won't touch anything except for one of the brands that they sell. Now I'm forced to either be my own service technician, or find a technically inclined handyman in my area. It's a great bike but if I'd known that I wouldn't have bought an ebike online.

    I was looking for update videos showing all the updates didnt see any? I have a 2011 LT Z71. love it has all the options of the LTZ other than the cooled seats. I noticed later after buying it. It has a little rust above the windshield. Other than that it was in crazy good condition. I would recommend buying a range for the model years 07-13 to disable the AFM (active fuel management) as its known to cause reliability issues in the 5.3L. The range will delete the AFM and allow the truck to always run in v8 mode rather than shifting from v4 to v8 mode all the time which is exteremly hard on the engines. Chevy is actually has a class action lawsuit against them for the issue

      It could be a lifter or exhaust manifold leak both of those are extremely common issues with the 5.3l and they both sound basically the same. Looking Good! You talked about a propane tank in the box at the front. Remember propane is heaver than air, so if there is a leak it will just sit in the bottom of that box waiting to explode, Simple solution would be to drill a few 2" (50mm) holes in the bottom of the box to allow propane gas to drain out the bottom of the box. Can put plugs in when not transporting propane. Anyways never store propane in an enclosed space without an escape route for the gases that go to lowest point. Is there a lock for the fridge door when traveling down the road? I have looked into purchasing an older Surfside, need to change out bed to a bench bed and shorter counter, I am 6'2" so crosswise just does not work. 😞 Maybe some day, I have a S17 Palomino, but at the upper towing limit with it of tow van.

    I know this is an old video, but we are starting work on fibreglass repair on our boler and wondering what kind of materials you use - filler, paint, fibreglass, etc. If you would be so kind as to share the information, we are basically in way over our heads but I really want my boler back :) We currently have it all dismantled (and buried in saskatchewan snow), mostly sanded down to the original gelcoat and sanded dull. Really curious about what you would recommend in terms of brand (accessible in Canada?) and paint type.

    • @RBvere
      @RBvere Год назад

      These trailers are treated like a boat or car.. more like a boat for repairs. cracks that go through the fiberglass need to be ground out and resin and fiber mat used. Canadian Tire has bondo kits for that. And bondo is what you use to fill small holes. The roof of a Boler is very weak when the cabinets are removed.. so I hope you put some kind of support for the snow inside the trailer. The best "do it yourself" paint is the Interlux brightsides polyurethane boat paint. Here I could get it from Industrial Plastics store. They also sell fiberglass supplies.

    Hi Rob! In the springtime you and your wife will have so much fun with your Fabulous Ebikes! In the fall, I bought from the same company an EMX-Extreme 20" fat-tire bike. Mine has dual 500w motors and a 48v 30Ah battery. Before curtailing my riding due to our cold November weather, I'd put 905 km (562 mi) on it in less than a month. I like to go out and explore the rural paved & unpaved roads here on Prince Edward Island. A typical ride for me is 35 to 60km. I pedal almost continuously for fitness and have experienced great battery range. In the 905 km it required just four charges. For each charge I record the mileage and it has varied from 184.4 km (114.6 mi) to 252.6 km (156.9 mi). The lower end of the range reflects using both motors more aggressively. Maximum range comes from using one motor and limiting the pedal assist to level three. I typically stop riding when the last battery bar disappears from the controller At that point it still has juice but I want to avoid depleting the battery completely. My wife has seen me having so much fun with the ebike, now she wants one too!

    • @RBvere

      Yes.. It's pushing fifty years old. So if it's never been re done then I would say it's time is up. The rubber in the axle tube would be done and the trailer sagging. Plus as I recall some of the frame involved thin sheet metal which will rust right through. So have a good look under there. It's not hard to remove the frame..

    Hi I’m hoping you can help me. I’m wanting to know if I can flat tow a 1991 geo tracker automatic with 4x4 behind my motorhome. And if yes what’s the procedure or process to do it properly and safely to not damage it. Thanks

      Hm.. Iwas quite sure that Tracker's were flat towable. Automatic ? not sure. Can you unlock your hubs ? Put it in neutral. I've never tried to flat tow anything.

    I love fabulous ebikes such a awesome bike company. I had the step thru that you talking about I have some videos out about it. Loved that bike. I think you will find the seat a little to high for your wife you may have to put a normal seat post on so you can get it lower. I my self had the mistake of owning other ebikes and learned things the hard way with performance and service. That's why I love fabulous ebikes you just get the best of everything. I sold my step thru had a 1000 km on it and going to get a new custom bike from fabulous in the spring. And if I could recommended anything get your self spare battery I love riding mine so much it makes it even more fun to have extra battery to get you home 😀
